About Mèsan

Mèsan means nine in Yoruba; a language spoken in Nigeria, where creator and designer of Mèsan was born and partially raised. She began hand sewing at age 7. Fashion and textile was woven into her childhood as she observed her mother operate a successful textile import business and thus created a genuine love for it. Fast forward to decades later. After lots of personal and professional growths and failing forward, Mèsan was born.

Mèsan aims to diversify the sustainable fashion community. We practice ethical small-batch production and upcycle pre-loved materials to create unique pieces.

Core Values

Individuality. Sustainability. Service.

"The number nine signifies the importance of staying true to myself and using my innate gifts to help people show up in the world as their most confident selves."

- Damola Sulaiman, Designer & Creator
